NewsELA is a great website for current events and news that's tailored to best fit a student's reading level. They also allow articles to be assigned using Google Classroom Classes. So...we're going to give it a try. I've assigned an article about Mars which you can find when you sign into NewsELA USING YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT. If we travelled to Mars by ________, how long would it take? (Using the Speed formula to solve for TIME). We have lots of speedy people, creatures, and craft here on earth - what if they were our ride to Mars???

We know quite a bit about Mars from satellites, telescopes, and rovers that have gotten us closer and ON the planet. What details would you include if you were trying to convince or persuade someone to join an expedition to Mars? What about an advertisement that would convince someone to take a vacation to the Red Planet?
