Home Away from Home - Your Mars Habitat / Base

Designed for Survival

After selecting a place on the planet Mars to land, it's time to set up a base and habitat.  A proper place is essential for survival.

To help you imagine what your ideas might look like in 3-D, you will use some design tools online to create the EXTERIOR (outside) view of your habitat / colony buildings as well as the INTERIOR (inside) of your habitats.

​Those tools are:

Tinkercad.com   - you will need to sign up for an account.  Use your school account information to make it easier.  You will need to remember your log in.  Use Tinkercad to design how your buildings and spaces will look from the outside.

Floorplanner.com - you can use your Google account to sign in.  Floorplanner is a tool to create the interior design of your habitat, including all of the "creature comforts" of furniture, etc.  Remember, space is limited in space and no space is wasted.  Do your best to use your space efficiently in your habitat.
